Our client is one of the premier electronics companies successfully operating in the rarefied environment of the automotive sector.

They now seek an engineering director or manager to head up a team of 50+ semiconductor and board level electronics design engineers. Because of the size of the team, the individual does not need specific semiconductor experience - however strong electronics skills and a proven track record in the automotive sector are both ESSENTIAL.

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the team, with a number of team managers as direct reports. This will include agreeing and then meeting timescales for project delivery, growing and motivating the team, running design reviews and new product development activities, and maintaining an awareness of customer / market requirement.
