Based in Germany, the Power Supply Applications Engineer will work with a major/global semiconductor company on a range of different products within the European Design Centre. Responsibilities will include providing technical support to customers using new and innovative semiconductor solutions, with a focus on LED lighting systems. The role will also represent the voice of the customer to the IC development teams within the company.

For this position, the ideal candidate will be required to have as a minimum a Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering and strong verbal as well as written communication skills. The ideal engineer will have a proven background in the Design of Power Conversion Applications (AC-DC and DC-DC), component selection, PCB design/evaluation and a basic understanding of analogue/mixed signal IC design in order to communicate effectively with the design teams.

Furthermore, a solid knowledge in design reference, the ability to liaise with customers facing technical problems and demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of Power related products will be a clear advantage.
