Our client is looking for a Senior ASIC/FPGA Applications Engineer to support their existing customer accounts and help develop their business. Experience in modelling / simulation tools from the Semiconductor design industry is required for this role.

Based out of Cambridge, the Application Engineer will provide in-depth technical support to our client's UK customer base; engaging with customers to understand their requirements and demonstrating how the use of software tools can overcome difficulties in the design and enhance the development process. The role will involve 25% travel.

Requirements:
-    Degree or equivalent in Electronic or Electrical engineering
-    Strong hardware design experience with FPGAs and/or ASICs
-    Experience of MATLAB, C/C++, Simulink, HDL, EDA tools is essential
-    Excellent communication and presentation skills
-     Previous experience working as an Applications Engineer is not essential; this role could also suit an ASIC/FPGA engineer looking to move into a customer-facing role.
