Superb opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join leading Cambridge client developing software for wireless chips. This involves coding in ‘C’ and assembler within a resource constrained multi-processor environment (PIC or Atmel experience would be good) and also some coding in a high level language such as C or C++. Perl and python are used as scripting languages.

Applicants must have a strong relevant degree with a keen interest in software development and a proven understanding of embedded C/C++ programming languages, excellent understanding of software design techniques, good appreciation of the hardware and understanding of debug techniques, an understanding of processor architectures and peripherals, experience of wireless communication protocols such as Bluetooth, UWB or Wi-Fi would be beneficial. Knowledge of PIC, Atmel, UART, I2C, USB all beneficial.

Senior Engineers will take ownership of a major component of a project and will be responsible for delivering the software on a timescale agreed with the programme manager. This role involves the mentoring of junior members of the team. They will also need to be prepared for occasional travel and to meet with customers if required.
