Senior software engineering vacancy. We have an opportunity for an experienced engineer to join one of the worlds largest semiconductor companies.

The successful software engineer will join their software tools development team, working across the full embedded software lifecycle, responsible for the software tools and enabling software for next-generation platforms.

Responsibilities include software design, development and testing, debugging on real embedded platforms, optimising performance for both drivers, compilers, enabling software and its integration with multiple operating systems.

Essential Skills & Experience:
- Expert in at least one object-oriented programming language (preferably Java).
- Assembly language programming experience for at least one architecture.
- Experience developing both high (GUI application) and low (bare-metal embedded) level software.

Desirable Skills & Experience
- Development of debug/trace software.
- Eclipse IDE Plugin development, preferably using the Graphical Editing Framework (GEF).
- Experience of developing graphical user interfaces.
- Familiarity with unit testing.
- Experience of working closely with hardware design teams.
- Programming in assembly language.
