Exciting growing company in Cambridge has an immediate requirement for Application Engineers to provide support and consultancy to customers. This is a highly technical role requiring the ability to understand, digest, tune and troubleshoot a substantial software code base written in C. It will also involve provision of 1st-3rd line technical support for a global product which will involve close work with the software development and test teams. The role does involve “on-call” duties to provide 24 hour support and will also require global travel.

Applicants must have a strong degree with at least 3 years C development expertise. Knowledge of Linux, networking (TCP/IP/Ethernet), socket programming a huge advantage. Great communication skills, both written and verbal, is essential.

Experience as an Application Engineer is not essential. If you are a skilled engineer looking to make the move into a customer focussed position then this could be your opportunity.
