Our Physics and Engineering client is seeking a talented Software and Applications Engineer.
You will need a good degree in Computer Science (or numerate subject with high Computer Science content) and a sound understanding of physics and engineering. You will contribute to the company by designing and implementing C# applications with GUIs, designing and executing scientific experiments, setting up mixed software, hardware, and sensor systems, and meeting and working closely with customers. A strong background in C++ is necessary and training in C# can be given.
Requirements include:
Writing multi-threaded, real-time, distributed software experience
Experience in C++ and STL development
Experience of GUI development
Database back-end knowledge
Make files, Unix, scripting, CVS
Engineering or scientific knowledge / interests
Articulate, customer facing, able to work under intense pressure
Relevant, good degree
Desirable:
Graphics and / or numerical analysis
RTOS
C# .NET 2.0
High frequency RF knowledge
Windows XP programming
Ability to debug complex systems
