Our client, a world-leading semiconductor and signal processing company, requires an IC Layout Engineer to join them in Southern Ireland.

The IC Layout Engineer will join a team of digital, CAD and other layout engineers working on digital and mixed signal products for a variety of customer applications. The successful candidate will play a key role within the team and lead the floor plan development, pad ring layout, digital block implementation and top level chip assembly.

Requirements:
• a Bachelors/Masters qualification in Electronic Engineering, or similar field
• a number of years' prior experience in layout design at cell, block and chip level
• experience with Cadence layout and verification tools (Composer, Virtuoso etc)
• Digital Implementation skills with Synopsys tools (Design Compiler, PrimeTime, Hercules etc)
• a good overall understanding of digital and analog circuit layout
• a good understanding of ESD, Latch-up and mixed signal routing
• good background knowledge in the digital RTL design
• Place & Route.
