£££25K- 35K + benefits
Embedded Systems Engineer sought by my client based in Scotland developing innovative speech and audio products for low-power, portable consumer applications. such as highly-optimized audio decoder chips (such as MP3, AAC, aacPlus) and speech compression, synthesis, and recognition devices.

Candidates will have a good academic record plus:
- Embedded Software / Firmware experience
- Experience of real-time embedded systems
- C and assembly language programming
- Working knowledge of microprocessors and related functions such as DMA transfers, interrupt control
- Appreciation of DSP techniques would be advantageous
- Appreciation of HW design techniques would be advantageous.


The successful candidate will join my clients dedicated Systems Group to undertake out a wide range of activities related to our speech and audio IC product developments. This includes the design and verification of embedded firmware and hardware to create working real-time speech/audio SoC devices; the design and preparation of evaluation/demo kits and associated documentation.
