Our start-up client is looking for a talented FPGA hardware engineer with a mix of expertise in VHDL circuit design as well as software development in C or Java.

In this role you'll be part of a small team which tackles almost everything in hardware and software engineering. We're looking for really motivated individuals with strong academic backgrounds - ideally a 1st or 2:1 degree in Computer Science or related discipline. Candidates need to have prior experience in FPGA design, preferably using VHDL, with some knowledge of software development.

In addition, some experience in any of the following would be a bonus:

· PCI Express and DDR2/3 memory interfacing
· Systems/device driver programming for Linux in C/C++
· PCB-level design and debug.
